Common questions
What does the agent do when a customer asks something it has no facts for?
It refuses to invent an answer. The composer says the question needs a fact the knowledge does not hold and asks you to answer by hand and add the answer to Knowledge.
Does an agent's knowledge apply to every page it covers?
Yes. Knowledge belongs to the agent, not to a page, so it applies to every page that agent covers.
What should I paste into the Knowledge box, and in what format?
Plain text, as short factual lines rather than marketing copy: prices with their currency, delivery times per region, what is in each plan, the refund window, your shop address and the things you do not do. The box takes as much as you need.

For agents
Guide: Give the agent knowledge
This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/ai-agents/give-the-agent-knowledge
Topic: AI agents
Time: about 3 minutes
Who can do it: Owner, Administrator or Manager
Author: https://anantgupta.xyz (Anant Gupta, founder of CommentWatchDog)
Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/agents
Result when done: The agent answers real questions about your prices, policies and products, and says so when it cannot.
Context: Knowledge is the facts of your business in plain text: what you sell, what it costs, how long delivery takes, what your refund policy is. The agent answers from it, and refuses to invent when the answer is not there.
Before you start
1. Only facts belong here. Voice belongs in the persona.
2. The agent tells you plainly in the composer when a question needs a fact it does not have.
3. Knowledge belongs to the agent, so it applies to every page that agent covers.
Steps
Step 1 of 3: Open Knowledge on the agent.
Where: Settings, AI agents, the agent, then the Knowledge box. The hint under it says to paste product information, pricing and policies.

You should see: A large box that takes plain text, as long as you need.
Step 2 of 3: Paste the answers you give every week.
Where: Prices with their currency, delivery times per region, what is in each plan, the refund window, the address of your shop, the things you do not do. Write them as short lines rather than marketing copy.

You should see: Generated replies quote your real numbers instead of hedging.
Step 3 of 3: Watch for the honest refusal.
Where: When a question needs a fact the knowledge does not hold, the composer says so and asks you to answer by hand and add the answer here. That message is the list of what to add next.

You should see: A clear statement rather than a confident invention.
If something is off
Problem: It still answers vaguely
Fix: The fact is missing or buried. Add it as its own short line.
Problem: It quoted an old price
Fix: Update the knowledge; it is the only place prices come from.
Problem: Can it read my website
Fix: Not by itself. Paste the parts that answer questions; that is what makes replies accurate.
Problem: It says it has no custom knowledge
Fix: The box is empty for that agent. Replies are then written from the comment and the post alone.
