How credits work

A plan counts two things: the comments moderation checks, and what the AI writes for you. Contacts, DMs and automation runs are never counted.

The fine print

Every rule, in plain words

What happens at the edges: cleanup checks, re-runs, your limit, automations, AI credits and the trial.

Running "Check comments" bills every loaded comment once: 47 comments shown, 47 credits the moment the check runs. Skipping the check but acting anyway costs the same: the first translate, reply, hide, delete, mute or block on a loaded post bills all of its not-yet-billed comments. After that, nothing you do on those comments uses a comment credit: bulk delete, reply, revisit next week. A billed comment is never billed again.

Then cleanup never bills it. If a comment came in while your moderation was on, it was billed once on arrival; checking or acting on it in Post cleanup is free. Only a re-run after you change your settings bills it again.

They stay unbilled until your next check or action, which bills just those new ones.

If you change a page's moderation settings after checking a post, the post becomes eligible for a re-run, and the button tells you the exact cost before you click: "re-running will use N comment credits". New settings mean new moderation work, so the re-run bills those comments again. The offer appears only when settings actually changed, never otherwise, and your earlier check results stay readable.

We email you at 90% of your monthly volume. At 100%, live moderation pauses until you upgrade or the next period starts. Your automations keep answering, nothing is deleted and your pages stay connected. If your volume regularly exceeds your plan, we will ask you to upgrade. We never charge overage on our own.

No. Replies, private replies, DMs, flows and the people they reach are never counted, and they keep running when the month’s comment credits are used up. One thing to know: a comment that starts an automation is still a comment. If moderation covers that post or ad, which it does unless you changed it, moderation checks the comment and that check uses one comment credit, as it does for any other comment. A comment on a post or ad that moderation does not cover is not counted, and the automation still answers it.

No plan counts them. There is no limit on contacts and no charge per person, per message or per automation run, so a post that takes off never raises your bill. Fair use applies, as the terms describe, and Meta’s own sending limits apply to every tool.

What the AI writes for you. An AI agent’s answer or draft on a comment or in a DM uses 5, and so does a reply you ask it to generate. A translation uses 1, a set of message variations 1, and one test answer from your agent 1. Build with AI uses what each build takes, and one message never uses more than 100. The written read of one ad uses 3. Setting up with AI, such as reading a file or a web page into an agent’s knowledge, uses 1 to 3 a step. When an agent does not have the knowledge to answer, nothing is charged.

Moderation, the AI rules included: reading a comment is paid by its comment credit. The replies, messages and flows you write yourself. A translation you have already opened once.

The AI stops writing and everything else carries on. An AI agent’s step in a flow takes its Couldn’t answer way, a comment or chat that needed the AI waits for a person, and translation and Build with AI ask for credits. The messages and flows you wrote yourself keep running, and moderation is not affected. The pool refills at the start of the next billing period.

The same number of each. Starter has 1,000 comment credits and 1,000 AI credits a month, Growth 3,000, Pro 10,000 and Elite 25,000. Both reset at the start of each billing period and neither rolls over.

The free trial includes 250 comment credits and 250 AI credits on the same two meters. When the comment credits are used, moderation and Post cleanup pause until you pick a plan, while automations keep running; everything you loaded stays saved.
