Check they follow before the link goes out
Free for 7 days, no credit card required
A card with Visit profile and I’m following. The tap asks Instagram whether they really follow you: followers get the offer, everyone else gets a second ask with the same buttons.
- Meta's official API, no password, nothing installed
- Unlimited contacts on every plan
- AI replies in your customer's language
- From $29 a month
Asked, checked, asked again
Two buttons, a real check, and a fair rule for when Instagram says nothing.
- 01
A card with two buttons
“The first opens your profile, the second checks whether they follow.”
- 02
Checked with Instagram
The tap asks Instagram whether they follow you. No honor system: following goes one way, not following the other.
- 03
Not yet? Asked again
A separate “not following yet” message goes with the same buttons, once, twice or 3 times, then the No way.
- 04
Unknown is never no
When Instagram does not say, the card goes once more. If it still does not say, they go on as a follower would.
The ask, and the check
What they see, how many times, and how the answer is read.
What they see
- MessageThe ask
Up to 160 characters: it goes out as a card, an 80-character title and an 80-character line.
Meta: card title and subtitle, 80 characters each
- ButtonsTwo buttons
Profile button (“Visit profile”) opens your Instagram profile; Check button (“I’m following”) asks Instagram whether they follow. Both labels are yours.
- If they are not following yetNot following yet
“Sent with the same buttons when the check finds they have not followed.”
- Ask at mostHow many asks
Once, Twice or 3 times, twice by default. After the last ask, the No way.
How the check works
- Instagram only
“Instagram only. Instagram tells us whether they follow only after they write or tap, so this step goes after the private reply.”
Meta: profile answers need the person to have messaged or tapped
- Unknown is not “no”
When Instagram does not answer, the card goes once more; if it still does not say, they go on as a follower would. Nobody loses the offer to a silent API.
- Follows counted
Follows gained through the check are counted per day in the flow’s insights.
- Typed works too
Writing back while the check waits counts like the tap, and the check runs.
Right after the private reply
The check needs their tap first, so it follows the private reply.
The Ask to follow step, as you set it
The step selected on the canvas, its panel open with the message, the two buttons and Ask at most.
- Buttons
- Visit profile and I’m following.
- Ask at most
- Once, twice or 3 times.
Every rule, and who sets it

Questions people ask
Short answers before you start.
The tap on I’m following asks Instagram, which answers whether the person follows your account. Following goes the Yes way; not following gets your “not following yet” message with the same buttons.
Instagram answers the follow question only after the person has written or tapped. A comment alone is not enough, so the check goes after the private reply’s tap.
Once, twice or three times, as you choose; twice by default. After the last ask, the flow goes the No way, where you can still send something.
The card goes once more. If Instagram still does not say, the person goes on as a follower would: an unknown is never treated as not following.
Yes. Follows gained through the check are counted per day in the flow’s insights. A Condition can also check whether someone follows you anywhere in a flow.
No. Facebook Pages have no follow answer in Messenger, so the step is Instagram only.
Yes, this step is how follow to unlock works inside a flow, after the private reply: the offer goes the Yes way.
