Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and CommentWatchdog ("we", "us") covering your use of commentwatchdog.com and app.commentwatchdog.com (the "Service"). By creating an account you accept them.

1. The Service

CommentWatchdog moderates and manages comments and messages on Facebook pages and Instagram accounts you connect, using Meta's official APIs. Moderation actions (hiding, deleting, replying, blocking) are performed on your instruction, whether given manually or through rules and agents you configure. You remain responsible for the moderation policy you set.

2. Your account

• You must be authorized to manage the pages you connect.
• Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• You may invite team members and control their roles. Their actions in your workspace are your responsibility.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to violate law, Meta's terms, or the rights of others; to send spam; to harass; or to attempt to access other customers' data. We may suspend accounts that do.

4. Plans, trials and billing

• New accounts get a 7-day free trial with no card required. When the trial ends without a subscription, moderation pauses; your data is kept.
• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe, in advance, and differ by monthly comment volume.
• Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the paid period. No partial refunds, except where the law requires them.
• If your volume regularly exceeds your plan, we will ask you to upgrade; we do not charge overage fees silently.

5. Third-party platforms

The Service depends on Meta's APIs. Actions Meta declines or limits (for example rate limits or temporary spam protections) are shown to you truthfully in the app; we cannot override them. We are not affiliated with Meta Platforms, Inc.

6. Your data

Your content stays yours. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, including how to delete everything at any time.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for the Service to be fast and reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranties. We may improve or change features over time; if we discontinue the Service we will give at least 30 days notice and a way to export your data.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, or for the content third parties post to your pages.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms; where practical we will warn you first.
