Keywords, in any language
The message start reads the words the way people type them.
Which messages count
The same matching as a comment start, in a DM.
- Has a keywordAny of your words, anywhere in the message
Up to 50 keywords, 80 characters each. Capitals and accents are ignored, so “Menú?” finds menu.
A keyword must start a word: “hi” is not found in “this”.
- Is exactlyThe whole message is the word
MENU starts it; “what’s on the menu today” does not. A leading ¿ or ¡ and trailing punctuation are ignored.
- Any messageEvery message
A catch-all that answers anything nothing else answered.
- Every script
Works in languages without spaces and with Arabic prefixes attached (السعر in بالسعر), and a keyword typed in quote marks matches the word without them.
One answer per message
When two automations could answer the same message, only one does.
- The order
A keyword automation answers first, then the first-message welcome, then a catch-all (any message, or the AI agent).
- Clashes are shown
Two live automations that would answer the same words are flagged in the editor, with the choice of which one answers; the more specific wins by default.
- How often per personEvery time, once ever, once a day, once a week
A price list can answer every time; a welcome offer only once.
Someone who already went through it is skipped quietly.
The chat is already open
They wrote first, so the 24-hour window is open from the first step.
A message start begins inside the open chat, so any step can come first: a message with buttons or quick replies, cards, a question or a tag. A first message without a keyword goes to your welcome; for every other kind of Instagram auto reply, see the overview.
The keywords, in the app
Typed and pressed Enter; the card shows them as chips.
- Has a keyword
- Any of the words, anywhere in the message.
- Is exactly
- The whole message is one of them.
