A carousel of cards, inside the DM
The Cards step sends a carousel of up to ten cards in an Instagram or Messenger DM, each with an image, a title, a line and its own buttons. It is Meta’s generic template, built without code, and every button leads its own way on the canvas.

A carousel, card by card
Ten cards, a picture and two lines on each, a way out for every button.
- 01
Up to ten, side by side
One message holds up to ten cards. They swipe through them in the chat.
Meta: 10 cards per message
- 02
A picture, a title, a line
Each card has a title of up to 80 characters, a subtitle of up to 80 and an image.
Meta: title and subtitle up to 80 characters each
- 03
Three buttons a card
Each card carries up to three buttons. A button opens a link, or is a way out to the next step.
- 04
A tap runs its way
Tell me more on the new roast runs the step connected to that button, and only that one.
Everything a card can hold

The carousel
- Add cardUp to 10 cards
One message, swiped sideways. Every button on every card is its own way out on the canvas.
Meta: 10 cards per message
- More than a title
A card needs a subtitle, an image or a button besides its title. Facebook refused a title-only card in a live test, so the builder asks for one more.
Meta: at least one field besides the title
- Instagram app only
Instagram shows cards in its app; its website does not show them.
Meta: not shown on Instagram’s website
- Clicks counted
Every link button opens a tracked short link per person, so Insights counts each card’s clicks.
Answer with the shelf itself
Cards need an open chat: after a tap, a message or a reply.
