Result when done: Someone who has left loses access immediately, and the replies they sent stay where they are.

Context: Removing a person ends their access at once. The replies they sent stay on your pages and in your history. Their name does not: once the person is removed, Insights counts their replies on a row without a name.

Before you start

1. Access ends immediately, on every device.

2. Their replies stay; their name on them does not.

3. An owner cannot be removed by an administrator.

Steps

Step 1 of 2: Open the Users tab.

Where: Settings, then Users. Remove is on each row.

You should see: Everyone in the workspace, with Remove beside them.

Step 2 of 2: Remove them.

Where: Remove, on their row. Their sessions end and they can no longer sign in to this workspace.

You should see: The row disappears; their replies stay, and Insights counts them without a name.

If something is off

Problem: Their name disappeared from Insights

Fix: The replies are still counted, on a row with a dash where the name was. Inviting the person again does not bring the name back.

Problem: I removed the wrong person

Fix: Invite them again; they set their name and return with the role you give.

Problem: I cannot remove the owner

Fix: The owner cannot be removed, and the role cannot be handed to someone else in the app. It ends only when the owner deletes the account.

Common questions

Question: Does a removed teammate keep access on their phone?

Answer: No. Access ends immediately on every device: their sessions end and they can no longer sign in to this workspace.

Question: Who can remove a teammate?

Answer: Owners and administrators, with Remove on each row of the Users tab under Settings.

Question: Does removing a teammate change my bill?

Answer: No. Plans are not priced per person, so removing someone changes nothing on the bill; it frees a seat, and a teammate whose seat the plan paused gets it back.
