How many people does each CommentWatchDog plan include?

Counting you: Mini and Lite 1, Starter 2, Growth 5, Pro 15 and Elite unlimited. Mini and Lite are offered in selected countries.

Does a pending invitation use a seat?

Yes. An invitation that has not expired holds a seat until it is accepted or revoked.

Is a paused teammate removed?

No. Their account, role, page access and history stay, and they get their seat back, oldest first, when one is free.

Guide: Seats, and what a paused seat means

This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/team/seats-and-what-a-paused-seat-means

Topic: Team and roles

Time: about 2 minutes

Who can do it: Owner or Administrator

Author: https://anantgupta.xyz (Anant Gupta, founder of CommentWatchDog)

Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/users

Result when done: You know how many people your plan holds, and what happens to someone beyond it.

Context: Each plan holds a number of people who can sign in, counting you: Mini and Lite one, Starter two, Growth five, Pro fifteen, Elite unlimited. Pending invitations hold a seat. When a plan holds fewer people than the workspace has, the newest teammates beyond it have their seat paused: they can sign in but not work until a seat is free.

Before you start

1. The owner and administrators are never paused.

2. A paused seat keeps its role, pages and history.

3. Removing someone or upgrading frees a seat, oldest paused first.

Steps

Step 1 of 3: See your seats.

Where: Settings, Users. At the plan limit, the count sits beside Send invite, for example 2 of 2 seats on Starter, and a teammate without a seat carries Not in plan.

You should see: Everyone in the workspace, and how many seats the plan uses.

Step 2 of 3: Free a seat, or add more.

Where: Remove a teammate who no longer needs access, revoke a pending invitation, or move to a plan with more seats. The next paused teammate gets their seat back.

You should see: The paused teammate can work again.

Step 3 of 3: Know what a paused teammate sees.

Where: When they sign in, one screen says their seat is paused and who can restore it, with Sign out. Nothing they did is lost.

You should see: A plain explanation instead of an error.

If something is off

Problem: Send invite opens a dialog

Fix: The plan has no free seat. Pending invitations count; revoke one or pick a plan with more seats.

Problem: A teammate says they cannot work

Fix: Their seat is paused by the plan. Free a seat or upgrade and they are back.

Problem: An administrator is over the limit

Fix: Administrators are never paused. The next invitation waits for a free seat.
