Common questions

Can one CommentWatchDog account moderate the ads of several clients?

Yes. One workspace holds every client Page and Instagram account your Facebook login manages, up to the plan's page limit, with a page group per client, teammates limited to their own clients, and Insights and exports per brand. Comments under ads and under posts are moderated by the same rules, which you set once and copy to the other pages.

How many client pages and people fit on each plan?

Starter 3 pages and 2 people, Growth 10 pages and 5 people, Pro 25 pages and 15 people, Elite with no limit on either. A page or a person beyond the limit is paused, never removed, and comes back on an upgrade. Larger plans are available after checkout.

Can an account manager see only their own clients?

Yes, from Growth. Give them the Manager or Moderator role and tick their clients under Page access on the Users tab; their inbox, Insights and rules show those pages only, and a client you add later is not theirs unless you tick it.

Can a client keep their own account and still have the agency moderate?

Yes. The client connects their own workspace with their own Facebook login and invites the agency as a manager with their pages ticked. The agency sees that client inside the client's workspace, and the client keeps the billing and can remove the access at any time.

Is there a partner program for agencies?

Yes. Partners earn 20% of every payment a referred account makes for 12 months, rising to 25% from the tenth paying customer and 30% from the twenty-fifth, paid by bank transfer in US dollars. It is free to join and reviewed by a person; the terms and the application are on the partners page.

Guide: Moderate clients' ads as an agency

This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/team/moderate-clients-ads-as-an-agency

Topic: Team and roles

Time: about 4 minutes

Who can do it: Owner or Administrator

Result when done: Every client's ads are moderated from one workspace, each account manager sees only their clients, and each client can read what was done.

Context: An agency runs ads for several clients and needs every client's comments moderated, each account manager on their own clients only, and a way to show each client what was done. In CommentWatchDog that is one workspace: the client Pages your Facebook login manages are added under Settings, Pages, up to the plan's page limit; a page group per client turns their Facebook Page and Instagram account into one brand in the inbox and in Insights; and each teammate is limited to the pages of their clients. A client who wants to keep their own account connects their own workspace instead and invites you as a manager on their pages. Agencies that send clients to CommentWatchDog earn 20% of every payment for 12 months through the partner program.

Before you start

1. One Facebook login per workspace: a client Page appears in Available to add once the client has given your login access to it, as a person or through your business portfolio.

2. Pages per plan: Starter 3, Growth 10, Pro 25, Elite without limit. People: 2, 5, 15, without limit.

3. Page groups and limiting a teammate to specific pages start on Growth.

Steps

Step 1 of 4: Add every client Page your Facebook login manages.

Where: Settings, Pages, then Add beside each page under Available to add. A client Page is listed there when the client gave your Facebook login access to it, as a person with access to the Page or through your business portfolio; Refresh after they do. Each Instagram professional account linked to a Page is listed beside it.

You should see: Each client's Facebook Page and Instagram account connected, and their comments arriving in the inbox.

Step 2 of 4: Group each client's pages as one brand.

Where: Settings, Pages, Page groups: name the client, tick their Facebook Page and Instagram account, then Create group. The group appears as a Brand filter in the inbox and in Insights, so one client's comments and numbers read as one thing.

You should see: A group per client, and a Brand filter that shows one client at a time.

Step 3 of 4: Give each account manager only their clients.

Where: Settings, Users, Edit on the person. Give them the Manager role if they run rules and replies, Moderator if they only act on comments, then tick their clients' pages under Page access. They see those pages only, in the inbox, in Insights and in the rules, and not the clients you add later.

You should see: Their row names their pages, and their inbox holds only their clients.

Step 4 of 4: Set the rules once, then copy them to every client page.

Where: On one page's Moderation tab, switch on the rules and set the actions, then Apply to other pages at the bottom and tick the client pages. A client with a different tolerance, for competitor mentions say, keeps their own settings.

If something is off

Problem: A client's Page is not in Available to add

Fix: Your Facebook login has no access to it yet. The client gives you access to the Page in Facebook, as a person or through your business portfolio, then Refresh. Or the client connects their own workspace and invites you as a manager on their pages.

Problem: I have more clients than pages on my plan

Fix: Starter holds 3 pages, Growth 10, Pro 25 and Elite has no limit; a page beyond the limit is paused, never deleted, and an upgrade restores it.

Problem: A client wants to see what was done

Fix: Filter Insights to their brand: the counts, the daily chart and replies by user, automation and agent, then Export CSV or send it by email; the export follows the range, the source and the brand.

Problem: A client wants their own login

Fix: They create their own workspace, connect their own Facebook, and invite you as a manager with their pages ticked under Page access. Your agency workspace and theirs stay separate.
