Common questions

Is there a resend button for an invitation?

No. Sending a new invitation with the same email, role and pages is how you resend. Revoke the pending one first, since there is one pending invitation per email, and they receive a fresh link.

Who can revoke an invitation?

Owners and administrators, from the Users tab under Settings. A pending row reads Invitation pending with Revoke beside it, and the link stops working the moment you press it.

Does revoking an invitation remove someone who already joined?

No. Revoke appears only on a pending row, one that still reads Invitation pending. Someone who has accepted is a teammate, and Remove on their row is what ends their access.

Guide: Resend or revoke an invitation

This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/team/resend-or-revoke-an-invitation

Topic: Team and roles

Time: about 2 minutes

Who can do it: Owner or Administrator

Author: https://anantgupta.xyz (Anant Gupta, founder of CommentWatchDog)

Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/users

Result when done: An invitation that went astray is replaced, and one sent by mistake is cancelled.

Context: A pending invitation sits on the Users tab until it is used. Revoking it kills the link immediately; sending a new one gives a fresh link, which is how you resend.

Before you start

1. Revoking makes the old link stop working at once.

2. There is one pending invitation per email.

3. A revoked invitation frees the email for a new one.

Steps

Step 1 of 3: Find the pending row.

Where: Settings, Users. A pending invitation reads Invitation pending with Revoke beside it.

You should see: The email, the role it was sent with, and Revoke.

Step 2 of 3: Revoke it.

Where: Revoke, on the row. The link stops working immediately.

You should see: The row disappears and the email is free again.

Step 3 of 3: Send a new one to resend.

Where: The invite form, with the same email, role and pages. They receive a fresh link.

If something is off

Problem: The invite created but the email did not send

Fix: Revoke it and send a new one; the notice says so when it happens.

Problem: They used an old link

Fix: It stops working once revoked or used. Send a new one.

Problem: Can I change the role before they accept

Fix: Revoke and invite again with the role you want.
