Messages on a phone
You can answer a customer from your phone as fast as from your desk.

Open the list of chats.
Messages, in the bottom bar
You will see The list of chats.
Open a chat, and go back.

Press + for everything you can attach.

Pick from the sheet.

Swipe a chat to close it.

If something is off
- I cannot find the photo button
- It is behind the + beside the box.
- The keyboard covers the thread
- The thread scrolls; tap outside the box to close the keyboard.
- I miss messages when the app is closed
- Install the app and turn on message notifications.
Common questions
Can I do everything with messages on my phone that I can on a computer?
Yes. The list and a chat are two screens instead of two columns, the chat's tools are in its header, and the + beside the box holds the photo, the voice message, the schedule and the translation.
How do I close a conversation on my phone?
Swipe it in the list, or press the tick in the chat's header. A toast says Closed, with Undo.

Before you start
1. The gesture tip is shown once, the first time you open Messages on a phone.
2. Push notifications tell you when a customer writes, which is what keeps you inside the reply window.
3. Everything here also exists on a computer.
Steps
Step 1 of 5: Open the list of chats.
Where: Messages, in the bottom bar. The list shows the open chats, newest first; the menu above it reads Open with a count, and the arrows beside it change the order.

You should see: The chats, each line starting with who wrote last.
Step 2 of 5: Open a chat, and go back.
Where: Tap a chat to open it. The arrow at the start of its header, All conversations, goes back to the list. Beside the name, the header holds the tools: Mark as closed (the tick), Mark as unread, the pause for automations and the contact panel.

You should see: The chat, with the box at the bottom and Reply window open above it.
Step 3 of 5: Press + for everything you can attach.
Where: The + at the start of the box. It opens a sheet with everything you can send or do to your reply.

You should see: A sheet from the bottom, each action named in words.
Step 4 of 5: Pick from the sheet.
Where: The sheet lists Translate into the customer's language, Translate into another language…, Send a photo, Send a GIF, Schedule message and Record a voice message. Send a photo opens your pictures; Record a voice message starts recording; Schedule message sends what you wrote later. The two translate rows work once you have typed something.

You should see: The same actions as on a computer.
Step 5 of 5: Swipe a chat to close it.
Where: In the list, swipe a chat to close it; a toast says Closed, with Undo. Press and hold a chat for more.

You should see: The chat leaves Open and is kept under Closed.
