Common questions
Who can change the daily digest send time?
An owner or an administrator. The send time and its timezone are workspace settings on the Settings tab, while whether you personally receive the digest is your own switch on the Notifications tab, which anyone can set.
Can each teammate get the digest at a different hour?
No. The send time is one setting for the whole workspace, so every copy leaves at the same hour. Each person only chooses whether they receive it, with the Daily comment digest switch on the Notifications tab.
Does turning off the digest stop my other emails too?
No. Daily comment digest is the first of five separate switches on the Notifications tab; the others are usage alerts, cleanup task reports, product news, and trial and account emails. Essential emails, such as password resets and invitations, are always sent.
Can I get the digest as a phone notification instead of an email?
No. The digest is an email. For alerts on your phone as comments arrive, install CommentWatchDog on your phone and turn on notifications under This device for comments that need a reply.

Guide: Set up the daily digest
This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/getting-started/set-up-the-daily-digest
Topic: Getting started
Time: about 2 minutes
Who can do it: Owner or Administrator for the send time, anyone for their own copy
Author: https://anantgupta.xyz (Anant Gupta, founder of CommentWatchDog)
Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/general
Result when done: One email each morning, at the hour you choose, listing the comments that are waiting for you.
Context: The digest is one email a day. It is only sent when comments are actually waiting, so a quiet day stays quiet. The send time is one setting for the workspace, and each person decides whether they receive it.
Before you start
1. The send time and timezone are workspace settings, changed by an owner or an administrator.
2. Whether you personally receive the digest is your own switch on the Notifications tab.
3. The digest is skipped on days when nothing is waiting for review.
Steps
Step 1 of 3: Switch the daily digest on.
Where: Settings, then the Settings tab, which holds the account-wide settings. Daily digest is a checkbox below the translation options. Tick it and two controls appear underneath.

You should see: Send time and Timezone appear under the checkbox.
Step 2 of 3: Choose the hour and the timezone, then save.
Where: Send time is the hour the email leaves, read in the timezone beside it, not in your computer clock. Pick the hour you actually sit down, not the hour comments arrive. Then press Save at the bottom of the form.

You should see: Saved appears under the form, and the next digest goes out at that hour.
Step 3 of 3: Choose who receives it.
Where: The Notifications tab, next to Settings. Daily comment digest is the first of five switches, and each person sets their own. The others are usage alerts, cleanup task reports, product news, and trial and account emails.

You should see: Your switches save as you change them and affect only your own email. Essential emails, such as password resets and invitations, are always sent.
If something is off
Problem: No digest arrived this morning
Fix: Nothing was waiting for review. The digest is only sent when there are comments to see, and it is skipped on the day you switch it on if the hour has already passed.
Problem: It arrives at the wrong hour
Fix: The timezone beside Send time decides, not your computer clock. Change it on the Settings tab and save.
Problem: A teammate does not receive it
Fix: Each person has their own switch on the Notifications tab. Ask them to check Daily comment digest there.
Problem: I want it to stop
Fix: Untick Daily digest on the Settings tab to stop it for the whole workspace, or turn off your own switch on the Notifications tab to stop only your copy.
Problem: It went to spam
Fix: Mark it as not spam once and add our sending address to your contacts. Digests and alerts come from the same address every day.
