- Add as many as you like in the trial; your plan decides after.
- Can I get an invoice for the trial
- Nothing is charged during the trial, so there is nothing to invoice.
- My trial ended and my rules are off
- Nothing was lost. Pick a plan and everything resumes.
Common questions
Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
No. No card is asked for and nothing is charged during the seven days. If you choose no plan, moderation pauses on the eighth day and still nothing is charged.
Does the trial start when I connect my first page?
No. The trial starts when you create the workspace, not when you connect a page, so the seven days are already running while you set up.
Do my replies and manual hides use up the 250 trial comments?
No. Replies you write, hides you do by hand, and messages do not count. The meter counts one for every comment your rules check as it arrives and one for every comment a post cleanup shows you or acts on, and a comment counts once however many rules look at it.
How much does CommentWatchDog cost after the trial?
Plans run from Starter at $29 a month for 1,000 comments, 3 pages and 2 people, to Growth at $49 for 3,000 comments, Pro at $99 for 10,000 and Elite at $199 for 25,000; annual billing gives two months free. Context: The trial is seven days with every feature at Elite level, no card, and 250 comments included. It is meant to be enough to connect a page, switch on rules, and watch them work on real comments.
Before you start
1. The trial starts when you create the workspace, not when you connect a page.
2. No card is asked for and nothing is charged during the trial.
3. A page can use one free trial once, on one workspace.
Steps
Step 1 of 4: See where your trial stands.
Where: The left sidebar reads Trial ends in N days at the bottom. Settings, then the Account tab, shows the same with the exact date and a meter of the comments you have used.

You should see: Trial, with the day it ends, and Comments reading how many of the 250 you have used.
Step 2 of 4: Know what counts as a comment.
Where: The meter counts one for every comment your rules check as it arrives, and one for every comment a post cleanup shows you or acts on. A comment counts once however many rules look at it. Replies you write, hides you do by hand, and messages do not count.

You should see: The number next to Comments is everything used in this period, across every page.
Step 3 of 4: Pick a plan before the trial ends.
Where: Choose a plan, on the Account tab. Monthly or annual, with two months free on annual. Each plan lists what it includes: its comments a month, its pages and people, and its features. Pick one that covers how you used the trial.

You should see: The plan starts at once, the meter resets to the new allowance, and everything you set up keeps running.
Step 4 of 4: Know what happens if you do nothing.
Where: On the eighth day without a plan, moderation pauses. Comments still arrive in the inbox, but rules stop hiding and deleting, and the sidebar reads Trial ended. Pick a plan to resume.

You should see: Nothing is charged, nothing is deleted, and everything resumes the moment you choose a plan.
If something is off
Problem: The trial ended sooner than I expected
Fix: The 250 comments can run out before the seven days. The Account tab shows both, and whichever runs out first pauses moderation.
Problem: This page already used its free trial on another account
Fix: A page can run one trial, once. Pick a plan and the page connects.
Problem: I want to try it on more pages
Fix: Add as many pages as you like during the trial; the 250 comments are shared across all of them. After it, your plan decides how many stay on.
Problem: Can I get an invoice for the trial
Fix: There is nothing to invoice: no card is taken and nothing is charged during the seven days.
Problem: My trial ended and my rules are off
Fix: Nothing was lost. Pick a plan on the Account tab and every rule, agent and automation resumes exactly as you left it.
