Result when done: A page you no longer run leaves your workspace cleanly.

Context: Removing takes the page out of your workspace. Nothing happens on Facebook or Instagram, and nothing you did to comments is undone; the page stops being one of yours here. What CommentWatchDog held for that page goes with it: its comments, messages, contacts, rules and automations are deleted here.

Before you start

1. Removing changes nothing on the platform.

2. Pausing is the reversible option. Removing deletes what CommentWatchDog holds for the page: its comments, messages, contacts, rules and automations.

3. A removed page can be added again from Available to add, and starts empty.

Steps

Step 1 of 2: Open the Pages tab.

Where: Settings, then Pages. Connected pages are at the top.

You should see: Each connected page with Remove at the end of its row.

Step 2 of 2: Press Remove.

Where: At the end of the row. There is no second question: one press removes the page. It leaves Connected pages and returns to Available to add.

You should see: It disappears from the sidebar and stops collecting comments, and what was collected for it is deleted here.

If something is off

Problem: Did removing delete my comments

Fix: Nothing was deleted on Facebook or Instagram. In CommentWatchDog, the comments, messages and history collected for that page were deleted with it.

Problem: I removed the wrong page

Fix: Add it again from Available to add; new comments resume from that moment. Its rules and automations have to be set up again.

Problem: The page is still in the sidebar

Fix: Reload the page in your browser; the sidebar is built when the app loads.

Common questions

Question: If I remove a page, are the comments I hid unhidden again?

Answer: No. Nothing you did to comments is undone and nothing happens on Facebook or Instagram; the page stops being one of yours in CommentWatchDog and leaves the sidebar.

Question: Should I pause or remove a page I am not using for a while?

Answer: Pause it. Pausing is the reversible option: the page collects nothing and runs no rules, but everything you set up is kept. Removing is for a page you no longer run: it takes it out of the sidebar and deletes its comments, messages, rules and automations from CommentWatchDog.

Question: Does a removed page still count towards my plan?

Answer: No. A removed page stops collecting comments, and live moderation counts one credit per incoming comment, so nothing more is counted for it.
