Common questions
What kinds of push notifications can CommentWatchDog send?
Four: comments that need a reply, finished cleanups, customer messages, and trial and account alerts. Comment alerts are grouped, one per page, never one per comment.
If I turn a push type off on my phone, do I still see those items in the app?
Yes. Only the kinds you leave on arrive on that device; the rest still appear in the app, and every other device keeps its own switches.
Can I silence a device completely without removing it from the list?
Yes. Turning a device off entirely is one control at the bottom of This device, under the four switches. Removing it from the device list is a separate action for a device you no longer use.

This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/notifications/choose-which-pushes-you-get-per-device
Topic: Notifications and the phone app
Time: about 2 minutes
Who can do it: Anyone on your team
Author: https://anantgupta.xyz (Anant Gupta, founder of CommentWatchDog)
Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/notifications?tab=device
Result when done: Your phone can be quieter than your laptop, and neither shouts.
Context: Four switches per device decide what reaches it. They are separate on every device, so you can have everything on your desktop and only the urgent things on your phone.
Before you start
1. Alerts are grouped: one per page for comments, never one per comment.
2. The switches belong to the device you are on.
3. Turning a device off entirely is one control at the bottom.

Step 2 of 3: Pick what this device should say.

You should see: Only the kinds you left on arrive here; the rest still appear in the app.
Step 3 of 3: Manage your other devices.
Where: The list of devices above: each can be renamed, tested or removed. A device you no longer use should be removed.

If something is off
Problem: I get the same alert twice
Fix: Two of your devices have it on. Turn one off, or remove a device you no longer use.
Problem: One alert per comment would be better
Fix: Alerts are grouped per page on purpose; a busy page would be unusable otherwise.
Problem: A device I sold still appears
Fix: Remove it from the list.
