Open the app in Chrome.

Install it.

If something is off

There is no install option
Use Chrome; other browsers vary.
Notifications are blocked
Allow them in Chrome or in Android settings.
The app opens in the browser
Open it from the home screen icon.

Common questions

Do I have to install the app on Android to get notifications?

No. On Android, notifications work from either the installed app or the browser. Use Chrome; installing is one tap from the menu but is not required for notifications.

Is there an Install button inside CommentWatchDog on Android?

Yes. The This device page under Settings, Notifications offers Install, and Chrome adds it to the home screen. The three dots menu in Chrome, then Install app or Add to Home screen, does the same.

Where does the app appear after installing on Android?

As an icon on your home screen and in your app list. From there, Settings, Notifications, This device, then Turn on notifications and Allow turns notifications on.

Step 1 of 3: Open the app in Chrome.

Where: Sign in at the app address in Chrome on the phone.

Where: The three dots at the top right of Chrome, then Install app or Add to Home screen. The app also offers Install on the This device page.

If something is off

Problem: There is no install option

Fix: Some Android browsers do not support it. Use Chrome.

Problem: Notifications are blocked

Fix: Allow them in Chrome site settings, or in Android settings for the installed app.

Problem: The app opens in the browser

Fix: Open it from the home screen icon rather than a bookmark.
