What counts as a sweep in Insights?

A bulk hide or delete you started from Post cleanup. Each one is a row in the Post cleanup section, naming the post with its hidden, deleted and failed counts.

Yes. View post, on the sweep's row, opens the post on Facebook or Instagram so you can see the result.

What does Open task show me?

The task behind the sweep, with the outcome of every comment in it and what Meta said for each failure.

Do the listed sweeps follow the date range?

Yes. The Post cleanup section lists the sweeps that ran in the period you picked, like every other number on the page.
