Common questions
Which plans include saved replies?
Starter and every plan above it. Replies saved during the trial are kept on a smaller plan and come back on upgrade. Mini and Lite are offered in selected countries.
Does Generate send the reply by itself?
No. Generate writes a draft into the composer from the comment, the post and the agent knowledge for that page, for you to edit. Nothing is sent until you press send.
Can I steer one AI draft without changing the agent?
Yes. Add instructions, under the composer, applies to this reply only and takes priority over the custom knowledge and the post; a tone can be picked beside it. The agent itself is unchanged for every other comment.
Is it safe to copy saved replies to a page twice?
Yes. Copy to page, in the saved replies panel, skips replies that already exist on the target page by name, and shows a count of what was copied and what already existed.
Can a saved reply include the commenter's name?
Yes. A saved reply can carry the commenter name, and a mention that notifies them; when you insert it, the text lands in the box with the name filled in. Only the reply text is inserted, never the name you gave the saved reply.

Guide: Write replies faster: AI drafts and saved replies
This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/inbox/write-replies-faster-ai-drafts-and-saved-replies
Topic: Inbox and comments
Time: about 4 minutes
Who can do it: Anyone on your team
Author: https://anantgupta.xyz (Anant Gupta, founder of CommentWatchDog)
Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/inbox
Result when done: The answers you write again and again are one keystroke away, and the rest start from a draft.
Context: Two things sit inside the composer. Generate writes a draft with your agent knowledge and the post it belongs to. Saved replies are your own answers, kept per page and inserted with a slash. Saved replies are included from Starter.
Before you start
1. Generate needs an AI agent on that page; the draft is written, never sent, until you press send.
2. Saved replies belong to a page and can be copied to other pages.
3. Nothing here changes the moderation rules; it only writes words into the composer.
Steps
Step 1 of 5: Generate a draft.
Where: Generate, inside the composer. It reads the comment, the post and the agent knowledge for that page, then writes a reply into the box for you to edit. The composer says whether it used your custom knowledge, and tells you plainly when a question needs a fact it does not have.

Screenshot: https://commentwatchdog.com/media/shots/inbox-phone-sheet.en.webp (Generate on a phone.)
You should see: A draft in your voice, waiting for you. Nothing is sent until you press send.
Step 2 of 5: Steer one reply without changing the agent.
Where: Add instructions, under the composer. Anything you write there applies to this reply only and takes priority over the custom knowledge and the post, for example mention the 30 percent sale, or politely decline the refund. A tone can be picked beside it.

You should see: The next draft follows your instruction. The agent itself is unchanged for every other comment.
Step 3 of 5: Insert a saved reply.
Where: Press the slash key in an empty composer, or the saved replies icon. Search by name, pick one, and the text is inserted. A saved reply can carry the commenter name, and a mention that notifies them.

Screenshot: https://commentwatchdog.com/media/shots/saved-replies-phone.en.webp (The panel on a phone.)
You should see: The text lands in the box with the name filled in, ready to send or change.
Step 4 of 5: Save the reply you have written.
Where: Save current draft, at the bottom of the saved replies panel, or New to write one from scratch. Give it a name you will recognise; only the reply text is inserted, never the name.

Screenshot: https://commentwatchdog.com/media/shots/saved-replies-phone.en.webp (The same on a phone.)
You should see: It appears in the list for that page, ready on the slash key from then on.
Step 5 of 5: Copy your saved replies to another page.
Where: Copy to page, in the saved replies panel. Pick the replies and the pages. Replies that already exist there by name are skipped, so copying twice is safe.

You should see: A count of what was copied and what already existed.
If something is off
Problem: Generate is not offered
Fix: There is no AI agent on that page yet. Create one on the AI agents tab, then Generate appears in the composer.
Problem: The draft says it has no answer
Fix: The question needs a business fact your agent does not hold. Answer it yourself, then add that answer to the agent knowledge so the next one is covered.
Problem: The slash key does nothing
Fix: It opens saved replies only in an empty composer. Clear the box, or use the saved replies icon.
Problem: A saved reply is missing on another page
Fix: Saved replies belong to a page. Use Copy to page to bring them across.
