"Make money with AI", "earn daily income from your phone" and "join my team" comments under your ads recruit for referral schemes and fake jobs. Meta's rules name them: "unrealistic financial reward for unclear or minimal effort" and jobs "with a demand for an advance fee before the job is granted". As of September 17, 2026, a link rule catches the half with a link and a keyword rule the rest.

Nine income pitches from my own ads
The table is my own ads' comments from July 1 to September 17, 2026, unedited, as written, links and names left out. Eight of the nine came from accounts the log could not name, removed by a cleanup after the fact; one, on September 10, from an account with an id, removed by hand.

The two shapes
The job: a company is paying for simple tasks, watching videos, making four AI clips, daily video tasks, and the pay is named in the comment. What follows the DM is a registration, a "training fee" or a deposit before withdrawals are allowed, and the free trial that pays out once exists to make the deposit look safe. The team: sign up through my link, mine or invest together, a bonus for joining, and the poster is paid per recruit. The first is Meta's job section; the second is its get-rich-quick and investment sections, and the crypto-signals field guide has the investment branch on its own.
Meta's rules, in full
Meta's Prohibited Commercial Practices policy, read September 17, 2026. Get rich quick: "Offers of opportunities of unrealistic financial reward for unclear or minimal effort." Job content, all five lines: "Offers of jobs containing no information about the employer and job specifications, simply referencing job vacancies. Offers of work from home but the job title implies the employee cannot WFH. Offers of jobs with advance promises of salary. Offers of guaranteed jobs. Offers of jobs with a demand for an advance fee before the job is granted." Every comment in the table above sits in at least one of those six lines, and Report from the comment's Options is how Meta hears about it.
Ads, not posts
All nine sat under ads and none under a post. A post reaches followers who know what the business sells; an ad reaches strangers scrolling past, which is the audience a scheme recruits from. The comment borrows the ad's reach and the ad's implied endorsement, since a reader who sees "Earn Daily Income" under a software company's ad may read it as the company's.
Facebook: the words, the link criterion, the pop-up
Per Facebook's blocked-words page read September 17, 2026, a Page's list takes a thousand keywords, phrases and emoji among them, and covers their variations, so the list below covers "e@rn money". Moderation Assist's Keywords in comments criterion takes the same list for new comments, and its Link in comment criterion takes the half that carry a link. For the one that got through under an ad, Ads Manager's pop-up hides or reports it; comments on Facebook ads has it.
Instagram takes the same list
Instagram's Hidden Words page, read September 5, 2026, puts words, phrases, numbers and emojis on the custom list and hides the comments that match, silently for the writer without telling the writer. The list below goes in, with "http" and "bit.ly" beside it for the half that link. Instagram Hidden Words, tested has the screen.
A keyword list for the job and the team

Delete the paste, report under the job reason
Facebook's hide page keeps a hidden comment on the writer's screen and their friends' screens, and an income paste has no reader worth that. Delete it, report the account from the comment's Options under the job or scam reason, and let the list above take the next one.

Common questions
Are "make money from your phone" comments a scam?
They are recruitment for a referral scheme or a fake job, and Meta's rules name both: "Offers of opportunities of unrealistic financial reward for unclear or minimal effort" and job offers "with a demand for an advance fee before the job is granted", from its Prohibited Commercial Practices policy read September 17, 2026. The "free trial" that pays a few dollars is the advance fee's mirror: it pays out once so the deposit comes later.
Why do they land under my ads and not my posts?
Because an ad reaches strangers who have never seen the pitch. Of my nine between July 1 and September 17, 2026, not one sat under a post; a post's followers know the business and are not the audience the scheme wants.
Which words separate the pitch from a customer?
earn money, make money, daily income, daily earnings, per day, join my team, sign up through my link, free trial, withdrawable, "DM me to apply". A customer asking about a product rarely uses any of them; on a recruitment Page, keep the rule on Hide and read the hidden view.
Can the job and the team be caught automatically?
A link rule takes the ones with a link as they land, a keyword rule takes the words above, and a rule that reads meaning takes "For people want to Earn Money" with no link and no listed phrase.
