Deleting a comment on a Facebook Page takes three clicks on a computer: as of September 17, 2026, Facebook's steps are to go to the post, click Options to the right of the comment, and select Delete, after which the comment "will be removed from the post" with no way back. Delete a comment on a Page post
Facebook's page on deleting from a Page, read September 9, 2026, is three lines: "Go to the post that has a comment that you want to delete. Click Options to the right of the comment that you want to delete. Select Delete." Then the consequence: "When you delete a comment from a post on your Page, the comment will be removed from the post." Its replies go with it, since a reply has nothing to hang from.
Those are computer steps. The same page gives no phone path and this post does not invent one; the app's press-and-hold menu will be shown here when captured. One more line from the same page, for the account that keeps coming back: "You can block the profile or Page that made the comment by going directly to the profile or Page."
Who may delete
The access rule is the reason many admins cannot find Delete. Facebook, on the same page: "If you have Facebook access to a Page, you can switch into the Page on Facebook and hide, sort or delete comments on Page posts. If you have task access to a Page, you can't hide, sort or delete comments on Page posts." An agency seat or a teammate added with task access sees the post and not the menu; the fix is Facebook access, or the owner deleting.
Deleting under an ad
An ad's comments are reached two ways, and only one deletes. Meta's ad-comments page, read September 17, 2026, lists Ads Manager's own actions for a Facebook ad as hide, like, reply and report, with no Delete. To delete, open the ad's post as the Page and use the steps above; how to delete spam comments on Facebook ads has the screens. The one ad that cannot be cleaned that way is a partnership ad, in Meta's words: "at this time, only creators can delete comments on partnership ads. Advertisers cannot delete comments on partnership ads."
Many at once
Facebook's controls work on one comment. The delete page describes a single comment, and no help page read for this post describes a select-all on a Page post, so a post with two hundred pastes under it is two hundred rounds of Options, Delete, confirm. The count from my own Pages makes the cost concrete: since August 1, 2026, 105 comments under my ads and 7 under my posts were deleted by hand, and 227 under ads and 18 under posts by Post cleanup, which loads every comment on a post or ad link and deletes the flagged ones together.
What the person sees
Nothing arrives. Facebook sends no notice for a deletion, and the comment is gone for its author as for everyone else, so the author finds out by looking. Hiding is the opposite, in Facebook's words from its hide page, read September 17, 2026: a hidden comment "will still be visible to the person who wrote it and their friends", and "the comment will be hidden for everyone else." A hide keeps the peace with the commenter; a delete keeps the post clean for good.

Common questions
Can the person see that I deleted their comment?
They are not notified, and the comment is gone for them as for everyone else, so they see it by its absence if they look. That is the difference from hiding, which Facebook says leaves the comment in view for its writer and their friends.
Can I delete comments on a Page with task access?
Not on Page posts, in Facebook's words as of September 17, 2026: "If you have task access to a Page, you can't hide, sort or delete comments on Page posts." Facebook access, switched into the Page, can.
Can I delete all comments on a Facebook post at once?
Not with Facebook's own controls; its delete page describes one comment at a time and no help page read for this post describes a select-all on a Page post. A cleanup tool loads the post's comments and deletes the flagged ones in one action.
