Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/pages
Result when done: Comments start arriving again, with nothing else changed.
Context: Facebook access expires: a password change, a security review, or someone revoking the app. The page is marked Disconnected, a banner says so, and one reconnect fixes it.

Before you start:
1. Nothing you configured is lost.
2. Comments posted during the gap were not collected; a cleanup can fetch them.
3. Only an owner or an administrator can reconnect.

Steps:
Step 1 of 3: Open the Pages tab.
Where: Settings, then Pages. The banner names how many pages lost their connection.

You should see: The affected pages marked Disconnected.

Step 2 of 3: Reconnect Facebook.
Where: On the banner, or beside Connected as. Keep every page selected and allow every permission.

You should see: The pages return to Receiving comments within moments.

Step 3 of 3: Catch up the gap.
Where: Load the affected posts in Post cleanup; it fetches comments from the platform rather than from your history.

You should see: The comments from the gap, ready to check and act on.

If something is off:
Problem: It disconnects repeatedly
Fix: The connecting account may have lost access to the Pages, or someone is revoking the app in Facebook settings.
Problem: Only some pages reconnected
Fix: Pages left unticked in the dialog stay disconnected. Reconnect and select them.
Problem: Tasks failed while it was down
Fix: They report page access expired. Reconnect, then Retry failed on the task.

Common questions:
Question: Why does a Facebook page disconnect from CommentWatchDog?
Answer: Because Facebook access expired. A password change, a security review, or someone revoking the app ends the page's access; CommentWatchDog marks the page Disconnected, a banner says so, and one reconnect fixes it.
Question: Do I lose my rules and settings when a page shows Disconnected?
Answer: No. Nothing you configured is lost. Reconnect Facebook from the banner or beside Connected as on the Pages tab, keep every page selected and allow every permission, and the pages return to Receiving comments within moments.
Question: Were comments collected while my page was disconnected?
Answer: No. Comments posted during the gap were not collected. Load the affected posts in Post cleanup; it fetches comments from the platform rather than from your history, so the comments from the gap are ready to check and act on.
Question: Who can reconnect a disconnected page?
Answer: Only an owner or an administrator. The reconnect is done from Settings, Pages, where the banner names how many pages lost their connection and the affected pages are marked Disconnected.
