This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/platforms/groups-and-personal-profiles-are-not-supported
Topic: How Facebook and Instagram behave
Time: about 2 minutes
Who can do it: Anyone on your team
Author: https://anantgupta.xyz (Anant Gupta, founder of CommentWatchDog)
Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/pages
Result when done: You know which surfaces can be moderated and which cannot.
Context: CommentWatchDog works on Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts. Facebook groups and personal profiles are not available to apps for comment moderation, so they cannot be added.

Before you start:
1. A Facebook Page and an Instagram professional account are the two supported surfaces.
2. Groups and personal profiles cannot be added.
3. A personal Instagram account can be switched to professional in the app.

Steps:
Step 1 of 2: Check what you have.
Where: Settings, Pages. Available to add lists exactly the surfaces Meta offers for your login.
Link: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/pages (Open Settings, Pages)
Screenshot: https://commentwatchdog.com/media/shots/pages.en.webp (The Pages tab lists Pages and professional Instagram accounts only.)
Screenshot: https://commentwatchdog.com/media/shots/pages-phone.en.webp (The same on a phone.)
You should see: Pages and Instagram accounts, and nothing else.

Step 2 of 2: Convert what you can.
Where: A personal Instagram account becomes eligible by switching to a business or creator account and linking it to a Page.
You should see: The account appears in Available to add after a refresh.

If something is off:
Problem: My community is a group
Fix: Group comments cannot be moderated by an app. Moderation tools inside the group are the only option.
Problem: I post from my personal profile
Fix: Create a Page for the business; it is what Meta offers moderation for.

Common questions:
Question: Can I add a personal Instagram account?
Answer: Not while it is personal. Switch it to a business or creator account in the Instagram app and link it to a Page; it then appears in Available to add on Settings, Pages after a refresh.
Question: Does an Instagram creator account count as a professional account?
Answer: Yes. CommentWatchDog works on Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts, meaning business or creator accounts linked to a Page.
Question: Can I add pages that belong to a different Facebook login?
Answer: No. One Facebook account per workspace: every Facebook Page and Instagram account that login manages can be added, up to your plan's page limit, but pages under a different Facebook login cannot be added to the same workspace. Available to add lists exactly what Meta offers for your login.
