Guide: Disconnect Facebook
This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/pages/disconnect-facebook
Topic: Pages and connections
Time: about 2 minutes
Who can do it: Owner or Administrator
Author: https://anantgupta.xyz (Anant Gupta, founder of CommentWatchDog)
Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/pages
Result when done: You can end the connection between CommentWatchDog and your Facebook account deliberately.
Context: Disconnecting removes the Facebook connection from your workspace. Every page stops receiving comments, because there is no longer an access route to them.

Before you start:
1. Disconnecting stops every page at once.
2. Your rules, agents, automations and history stay in the workspace.
3. Reconnecting later restores collection from that moment.

Steps:
Step 1 of 2: Open the Pages tab.
Where: Settings, then Pages. Disconnect Facebook is beside Connected as.

You should see: The connection, with the two controls beside it.

Step 2 of 2: Confirm.
Where: The dialog asks whether to disconnect the account, with Keep connected as the way out.

You should see: The connection is gone and every page stops receiving comments.

If something is off:
Problem: I only wanted to stop one page
Fix: Pause or remove that page instead; disconnecting stops all of them.
Problem: Can I revoke access from Facebook instead
Fix: Yes, in your Facebook settings under Business integrations. The result here is the same as disconnecting.
Problem: Will my data be deleted
Fix: No. Deleting the account is a separate action on the Account tab.

Common questions:
Question: Can I undo disconnecting Facebook?
Answer: Yes, by reconnecting. Your rules, agents, automations and history stay in the workspace, and pressing Reconnect Facebook on the Pages tab later restores collection from that moment.
Question: Who can disconnect Facebook from the workspace?
Answer: Only an owner or an administrator. Disconnect Facebook sits beside Connected as on the Pages tab, which only those two roles see.
Question: Is there a confirmation before Facebook is disconnected?
Answer: Yes. A dialog asks whether to disconnect the account, with Keep connected as the way out. Only Disconnect account ends the connection, and every page then stops receiving comments.
