Result when done: You get the emails you want from CommentWatchDog and none of the others.
Context: Five switches decide what reaches your inbox. They are yours alone: changing them affects your email and nobody else on the team.

Before you start:
1. Each person has their own switches.
2. Essential emails are always sent: password resets, invitations, and exports you asked for.
3. The switches save as you change them.

Steps:
Step 1 of 3: Open Settings, then Notifications.
Where: The profile row at the bottom left, Settings, then the Notifications tab, on the Email side.

You should see: Five switches with a line each saying what they send.

Step 2 of 3: Know what each one sends.
Where: Daily comment digest: one morning summary of comments waiting. Usage alerts: a warning as you approach your monthly limit. Cleanup task reports: a full report when a sweep finishes. Product news: a couple a month. Trial and account emails: setup reminders and trial status.

You should see: A choice you can make one switch at a time.

Step 3 of 3: Turn off what you do not read.
Where: The switch itself. Nothing else is affected, and the essential emails keep coming.

You should see: Saved, and that kind of email stops for you.

If something is off:
Problem: I still get emails after turning everything off
Fix: They are essential ones: password resets, invitations, and exports you requested. Those are always sent.
Problem: A teammate gets emails I turned off
Fix: The switches are per person. They have their own.
Problem: The digest never arrives
Fix: It is only sent when comments are waiting, and the workspace switch for the digest must be on as well.

Common questions:
Question: Do I have to save after changing an email notification switch?
Answer: No. The switches save as you change them. Turning one off stops that kind of email for you and nothing else is affected.
Question: When does CommentWatchDog send a usage alert email?
Answer: As you approach your monthly comment limit. Usage alerts is one of the five switches on Settings, Notifications, and you can turn it off without affecting the others.
Question: What is in a cleanup task report email?
Answer: A full report of a post cleanup sweep, sent when the sweep finishes. Cleanup task reports has its own switch on Settings, Notifications; long cleanups run in the background and email when done.
Question: How often are product news emails sent?
Answer: A couple a month. Product news is one of the five switches, so you can turn it off and keep the others; essential emails such as password resets and invitations are always sent regardless.
