Guide: Your timezone

Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/profile
Result when done: Every time you read in the app is your own local time.
Context: Comment and message times are shown in your timezone, and only for you. A colleague in another country sees the same comment with their own clock.

Before you start:
1. The timezone is personal; it does not change what anyone else sees.
2. It can be set automatically at your next sign-in.
3. The digest send time has its own timezone, set for the workspace.

Steps:
Step 1 of 2: Open the Profile tab.
Where: Settings, then the Profile tab. Timezone is under your name and email, above the password.

You should see: Your timezone, with a note that times are shown in it for you alone.

Step 2 of 2: Search and pick.
Where: The box searches timezones by city or region. Or leave it to be set automatically at your next sign-in.

You should see: Comment times switch to that clock everywhere in the app.

If something is off:
Problem: Times look an hour out
Fix: Daylight saving. Pick the region rather than a fixed offset and it follows the change.
Problem: My teammate sees different times
Fix: That is correct: each person reads their own clock.
Problem: The digest arrives at the wrong hour
Fix: That is the workspace digest timezone on the Settings tab, not your personal one.

Common questions:
Question: Can every teammate set their own timezone?
Answer: Yes. Anyone on the team sets their own on Settings, Profile, under their name and email. It is personal: it changes the times you read and nothing that anyone else sees.
Question: Do I have to set my timezone by hand?
Answer: No. Leave it and it is set automatically at your next sign-in. If you prefer to choose, the box on the Profile tab searches timezones by city or region.
Question: Which times in the app follow my timezone?
Answer: Comment and message times, everywhere in the app, and only for you. The daily digest send time is separate: it has its own timezone, set for the workspace on the Settings tab.
