Result when done: A brand with a Facebook Page and an Instagram account reads as one business.
Context: A page group is a brand: its Facebook Page and its Instagram account together, and any other pages that belong to it. Insights can read a whole group, which is the number an owner actually wants. Brand insights are included from Growth.

Before you start:
1. A page group is created on the Pages tab in Settings.
2. Filtering Insights by brand covers every page in the group.
3. A page can belong to one group.

Steps:
Step 1 of 2: Create the group first.
Where: Settings, Pages, then Page groups. Name it after the brand and tick its pages.

You should see: The group listed with the number of pages in it.

Step 2 of 2: Filter Insights by brand.
Where: The Brand filter in Insights, beside the range. Every count, the chart and the tables then cover that group.

You should see: One set of numbers for the brand rather than one per page.

If something is off:
Problem: The brand filter is not there
Fix: No page groups exist yet. Create one on the Pages tab.
Problem: A page is in the wrong group
Fix: Edit the group on the Pages tab; a page belongs to one group at a time.
Problem: The numbers do not add up across groups
Fix: A page in no group is counted under All, not under a brand.

Common questions:
Question: Which plans include insights for a brand?
Answer: Growth, Pro and Elite, where page groups are included. Insights per page are on every plan.
Question: What does brand mean in Insights?
Answer: A page group: a Facebook Page and its Instagram account together, and any other pages that belong to it. Filtering Insights by brand reads the whole group as one business.
Question: Can a page be in two brands at once?
Answer: No. A page belongs to one group at a time, so its numbers appear under one brand.
Question: Where do I create a brand for Insights?
Answer: On the Pages tab in Settings, under Page groups: name it after the brand and tick its pages. The group then appears in the Brand filter in Insights, beside the range.
Question: Does filtering by brand change the chart and the tables too?
Answer: Yes. Every count, the chart and the tables then cover that group, so you get one set of numbers for the brand rather than one per page.
