Guide: Delete your account
This page: https://commentwatchdog.com/help/account/delete-your-account
Topic: Account, plans and credits
Time: about 2 minutes
Who can do it: Owner
Author: https://anantgupta.xyz (Anant Gupta, founder of CommentWatchDog)
Start in the app: https://app.commentwatchdog.com/en/settings/account
Result when done: Everything is removed, and you know that before you confirm.
Context: Deleting the account ends everything: the subscription is cancelled, the pages are disconnected, and the data is removed. It cannot be undone, so it asks you to type a confirmation.

Before you start:
1. Only the owner can delete the account.
2. The subscription is cancelled as part of it; no further charge is made.
3. It cannot be undone, and support cannot restore it.

Steps:
Step 1 of 3: Open the Account tab.
Where: Settings, then Account. Delete account is at the bottom, away from everything else.

You should see: A dialog listing what will be removed, and a field to confirm.

Step 2 of 3: Read the list.
Where: It names the connected pages that will be disconnected and states that the subscription is cancelled and the data removed.

You should see: No surprises: everything that goes is named.

Step 3 of 3: Confirm.
Where: Delete forever. You are signed out, and a farewell email confirms it.

You should see: The account is gone, with nothing left to manage.

If something is off:
Problem: I only want to stop paying
Fix: Cancel the plan instead; the workspace and everything in it stay.
Problem: Can I get it back
Fix: No. Deletion is final.
Problem: What about my data at Meta
Fix: Disconnecting removes the app access. Comments and posts on Facebook and Instagram belong to those platforms and are unaffected.
